11/2

Bumper winner but failed to build on a promising hurdling debut when only 22½ lengths sixth of 9 to Appreciate It in Future Champions Novices' Hurdle at Leopardstown (16f, soft) 21 days ago.

Form: 12-26

Power Of Pause⁴²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: B J Cooper| T: W P Mullins| OR: 136| C

9/2

Fairly useful in bumpers and is 2 from 2 over hurdles, improving in spite of the drop in trip to land 5-runner novice here (16.6f) 42 days ago. Likely to progress further.

Form: 1/25-211

Ganapathi⁵⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Brian Hayes| T: W P Mullins| D

7/2

Bumper winner in France for Emmanuel Clayeux and looked a potentially useful recruit to hurdling for his new yard when tidy winner of 13-runner Cork maiden (2m) 56 days ago. Sure to progress.

Gua Du Large⁵²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| D

Forecasts

Magic Tricks (11/4), Master McShee (10/3), Ganapathi (7/2), Power Of Pause (9/2), Fire Attack (11/2), Echoes In Rain (6/1), Gua Du Large (8/1), Dreal Deal (22/1)

Usually an informative Grade 2. MAGIC TRICKS created an excellent impression when quickening clear to make a successful hurdling debut at Navan last month, so he's taken to land this prize for last year's winning owner/trainer combination. Master Mcshee sets the standard on his convincing handicap debut win, while Ganapathi is another open to plenty of improvement for his top yard.
