Winner of an Exeter maiden on hurdling debut this time last year and runner-up on all 3 subsequent outings. Latest effort in handicap at Chepstow looks like solid form, so makes plenty of appeal.

C&D winner but arrives on back of disappointing last of 6 in 2m handicap hurdle at Wincanton 42 days ago. Well treated but he needs to bounce back in first-time visor.

Fairly useful Flat maiden who showed fair form in this sphere in 2018/19. Probably needed the run back from a long absence in handicap at Taunton last month, but something to prove nonetheless.

Al Namix gelding who confirmed hurdles debut promise when scoring over C&D in November. Disappointing in novice at Wincanton next time but opening mark seems reasonable.

Has slipped to a handy mark and looked back in top form when third having been up with a strong pace at Leicester 46 days ago. One to note with Ben Jones taking over.

Back to winning ways in 2m Warwick handicap hurdle a year ago but unable to make an impact on both subsequent outings. Reappearance may have been needed, however, and cheekpieces tried now.

Signed off last season on a winning note but just one creditable effort to his name from 3 outings this season. Needs to bounce back after a break.

Runner-up on 5 of his 7 hurdles starts for Alan King but handicap mark looks too high and he made inauspicious start for new yard at Market Rasen recently.

Fairly useful hurdler who ran right up to his best when second at Plumpton on reappearance, benefiting from a well-run race. Might improve for the run, so he's a definite player.

Forecasts

Gustavian (6/4), Neff (9/2), Hollywood Ken (17/2), Bard Of Brittany (9/1), Hasankey (10/1), Amelia's Dance (10/1), Furkash (16/1), Zafar (18/1), Jaisalmer (20/1), Olympic Honour (50/1), Perfect Predator (50/1)

Verdict

The lightly-raced GUSTAVIAN came a long way clear of the remainder with an improver at Chepstow last time and could well benefit from a well-run race down in trip, so he gets the nod in an open-looking handicap hurdle. Hasankey returned to form and shaped better than the result at Leicester on his latest outing, so he's feared most ahead of the likeable Bard of Brittany.

  2. HASANKEY (IRE)
  3. BARD OF BRITTANY
