Picked up for £115,000 after finishing second in a maiden point in December 2019. Well-fancied but asked to do far too much early when fourth in Uttoxeter bumper. Interesting hurdling debutant.

Ex-pointer who showed a bit before seemingly going amiss on Wetherby hurdling bow. Much more like it when second over C&D since, even if he was flattered by his proximity to the easy winner.

€45,000 Presenting gelding. Dam dual bumper winner. Shaped like a stayer when sixth of 13 in a Southwell bumper on debut, so this longer trip a positive now hurdling.

Timeform
Has yet to complete over hurdles, taking little interest at Haydock last time.

Showed a bit in a pair of bumpers back in 2018/19. Improved on his hurdles debut form when second at Hereford (19.7f) 4 weeks ago, left behind by winner straight but long way clear of rest.

Timeform
Kayf Tara mare who has shown definite signs of ability in a pair of novice hurdles and is bred to be suited by this step up in trip, so not ruled out in an ordinary-looking contest.

Forecasts

Fishkhov (5/4), Pennyforapound (6/4), Supervisor (9/2), Miss Tara Moss (16/1), Representing Bob (20/1), Salopian Boy (33/1), Chance Finale (66/1), Annahalla Rebel (200/1), Currabeha Hill (250/1)

Verdict

FISHKHOV shaped much better than the result in a Uttoxeter bumper, having been asked to do far too much early, so he looks the way to go making a quick switch to hurdling in an ordinary-looking contest. Pennyforapound was much improved when runner-up over C&D in November and can provide the main threat ahead of Representing Bob.

  1. FISHKHOV (FR)
  2. PENNYFORAPOUND (IRE)
  3. REPRESENTING BOB (IRE)
