Posted much his best effort yet when hitting the crossbar in a 12-runner Market Rasen handicap hurdle (20.6f). Excuses next time so worth another chance up in trip. Headgear fitted.

Belatedly off the mark in 12-runner handicap hurdle over C&D on return. In the process of running respectably when departing at Ludlow since and enters calculations with good-value claimer booked.

Winning pointer who left previous Rules form well behind when making a winning handicap debut at Ffos Las 6 weeks ago. Up 4 lb and cheekpieces now fitted so he should make a bold bid to follow up.

Verdict

JIMMY BELL looked better than ever when winning over this C&D on his return and was in the process of running respectably when falling at Ludlow. He's taken to resume ways with a good-value claimer back on board. Le Tueur showed much-improved form to get off the mark on his handicap bow at Ffos Las and rates the obvious threat, with Samtara making most appeal of the others.

  1. JIMMY BELL
  2. LE TUEUR (IRE)
  3. SAMTARA
