Made highly impressive British debut when landing the Adonis here last term. Disappointing since, though again wasn't seen to best effect in the mud at Sandown last time. Significantly up in trip.

Is considered a veteran by age but proved better than ever when good third of 11 in handicap hurdle at Aintree (20f, heavy) 35 days ago. That form is solid, so he ought to remain competitive.

Verdict

ONE TRUE KING is a useful young hurdler who has already proven himself in this type of environment and, with the prospect of better still to come now stepping up in trip, he looks particularly interesting. Everglow is another novice to keep on the right side of having chased home the highly promising Star Gate on his penultimate run, with Emma Lavelle's Shang Tang completing the shortlist.
