Quickly made up into a smart novice chaser last term but still winless in this discipline and was again below best at Cheltenham 2 weeks ago. However, is potentially on a good mark back in a handicap.

Point/hurdle winner who made promising start over fences when runner-up at Carlisle on return. Duly built on that when going one better at Sandown, strong at finish. Sure to progress again.

Won first 3 starts under Rules (bumper/2 hurdles) prior to coming up short in better company. Looks a chasing type and made an encouraging debut after 34 months off when close second at Chepstow.

Pretty useful over timber for Willie Mullins and shaped well both starts over fences for this yard this season. Remains unexposed in this sphere.

Won Newbury bumper/maiden hurdle in good style but ended the season in tame fashion and pulled up on handicap bow at Cheltenham on return. Better ground here will at least suit on chase bow.

Dual hurdle winner last term though ran below that level sent chasing at Ascot on return 8 weeks ago, a bit disconcerting to see him start jumping left from halfway. Should do better at some point.

Grade 2 juvenile hurdle winner last season and has made a positive start to this campaign in France. However, improvement required off this mark now chasing.

Has shaped as if retaining ability over hurdles on both outings this term and ran to a fairly useful level on belated debut over fences when third at Newbury, though seen to good effect.

Point winner who has shown promise over fences this season, best effort yet when 8 lengths third of 11 to Alnadam in handicap chase at Sandown 3 weeks ago. 9 lb better off with that one here.

Ex-French hurdler who scored in 2018 and shaped as if in need of first run for 30 months when thirteenth of 18 in 20f handicap at Wetherby. This no easy introduction to fences.

Alnadam (4/1), Killer Clown (9/2), Hold The Note (6/1), Son Of Camas (13/2), Falco Blitz (7/1), Getareason (8/1), Mr One More (10/1), Champagne Well (10/1), William H Bonney (14/1), Galahad Quest (18/1), Oistrakh Le Noir (28/1)

Verdict

ALNADAM has improved again going chasing this season, strong at the finish to score at Sandown 3 weeks ago, and remains one to keep on the right side of with further progress to come. Mr One More made a very encouraging start over fences when returning from a mammoth absence at Chepstow and is entitled to improve on that, while Hold The Note is becoming well treated.
