Much improved sent chasing this season, readily landing 20f handicap at Huntingdon before runner-up off 12 lb higher mark in 19f Wetherby handicap last time. Has more to offer so leading claims.

4/1
Fairly useful winning hurdler/chaser who shaped as if better for run after 9 months off when fourth in 17f handicap chase at Exeter 25 days ago. Dropped 2 lb so he needs considering for in-form yard.

Fairly useful 21f winner over hurdles who matched that form over fences on return when fine second of 5 in 20f handicap chase at Bangor. Capable of better still so enters calculations off same mark.

Fairly useful hurdle/chase winner but lightly raced nowadays and returns after wind op/11 months off. Figures on handy mark though so no forlorn hope for leading yard.

Forecasts

Eclair Surf (7/4), Golden Whisky (4/1), Furiously Fast (9/2), Subcontinent (5/1), Guy (6/1), Mystical Clouds (10/1), Muffins For Tea (28/1)

Verdict

A case can be made for all of these but the most persuasive one is for GUY who has made a fine start over fences and is taken to make it 2-3 after his Wetherby second. Unexposed Eclair Surf seems sure to build on his promising C&D second so heads the list of dangers, although both Golden Whisky and Furiously Fast are much respected too in a cracking handicap chase.
