Overcame inexperience to make a winning hurdles debut at Exeter (21.6f) in November and easy to overlook his subsequent Doncaster mishap (fell fourth). Remains open to improvement.

Sholokhov gelding who'd undergone wind surgery prior to his debut and was seemingly caught out by inexperience when fifth in a Stratford bumper last month. This should reveal more. Tongue tied.

€42,000 purchase who showed promise on debut in a Kempton bumper back in February but not in same form on return at Sandown (2m) last month. Hurdles debut.

Well held sole bumper start but more like it when third in a Wetherby novice (19.7f) in October. Not in same form at Doncaster subsequently but too soon to be writing him off.

Finished down the field in a course bumper in November and similar story on hurdles bow back here 3 weeks ago. Probably one for later on.

Runner-up in an Ayr bumper on debut in January but tame effort at Warwick 2 months later and similarly well held both starts over hurdles this winter.

Runner-up in a point and still going well when slipping up in Stratford bumper in May 2019. However backward steps in bumper/mares maiden hurdle for Toby Lawes. Has made an interesting yard switch.

Forecasts

Flash Collonges (4/9), The Bomber Liston (6/4), Sizable Sam (15/8), French Paradoxe (7/2), Coral Lad (16/1), Barrakhov (16/1), Henschke (22/1), Feodora (28/1), Western Starlet (80/1), Reeceltic (100/1)

Verdict

THE BOMBER LISTON showed plenty of promise in bumpers, just touched off faced with an inadequate trip at Catterick on his latest start in November. This sort of test rates more suitable and he's fancied to make his mark now tackling timber. Flash Collonges is a threat under a penalty, whilst Sizable Sam, a winner on Tuesday, would make plenty of appeal if taking up this engagement.

  1. THE BOMBER LISTON (IRE)
  2. FLASH COLLONGES (FR)
  3. SIZABLE SAM
