Only hinted at ability in bumpers and went badly the wrong way from hurdling debut when pulled up here last month, losing place 4 out. Looks best watched at present.

Fair in bumpers but looked badly in need of the experience sent hurdling at Kelso last week. Turned out again quickly.

Newcastle bumper winner who stepped up on his hurdle debut when second at Carlisle (19.3f) 15 days ago, just not quite having the gears of the winner in a steadily-run race. Will go on improving.

Modest bumper winner but didn't achieve a great deal despite finishing second at Perth in August. Was struck into when well held back there last time.

Forecasts

Wetlands (1/5), Lucky Fella (10/3), Deep Charm (10/1), Aquitaine Boy (10/1), Etoile D'ecosse (16/1), Allthatglistens (16/1), Farmer Mike (20/1), East Harlem (66/1), Grumpy Mcgrumpface (66/1), Hidden Diva (125/1), Nautical Miss (300/1)

Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for WETLANDS, who just didn't have the gears of the winner in a steadily-run race at Carlisle and appeals as the type go on improving. Lucky Fella has shown promise in a trio of juvenile hurdles in Ireland and looks the obvious one to chase home the selection, ahead of Deep Charm.

  1. WETLANDS (IRE)
  2. LUCKY FELLA
  3. DEEP CHARM
