Expensive buy from Irish points who has been hard to train but won big-field Cheltenham handicap hurdle in good style 2 years ago and ran well on only outing since at Kempton. Convincing on chase bow.
Took full advantage of reduced mark when ready winner of 3-runner 25.2f novice handicap chase at Hereford in October. Not so good at Sedgefield since though and this is tougher.
Fairly useful winner over hurdles who was in the process of running well on second go over fences at Uttoxeter (3m) 26 days ago when unseating rider 2 out (second at time). Back in a handicap now.
Useful winning hurdler last season but yet to convince over fences, tailed off on return at Exeter in similar event after wind op.
Point winner and fairly useful hurdles winner at up to 3m. Promising chase debut/return at Market Rasen in July but shaped as if amiss in Cartmel handicap next time.
Fairly useful handicap hurdler, successful 3 times at up to 3m. Switches to chasing with improvement needed to tackle the best of these.
Fairly useful winner at 21f over hurdles. Shaped as if amiss (not for the first time) on return at Aintree (24.7f) when backed after wind op 7 weeks ago and a bit risky now going chasing.
Bred to excel over fences and beat a subsequent winner when making perfect start in handicap chases at Hexham (20f) in October. Fell early at Southwell next time but remains with potential.
Poor strike rate but he's looked capable over fences and probably would have been placed had he stood up over C&D last time (share of third when fell 3 out). Wouldn't rule out.
Fair winning hurdler at 20f who offered something to work on when third on return/chase debut at Wincanton (20f) in October. Fell early at Fakenham (3m) next time but retains potential.

Forecasts
Palmers Hill (11/8), Saint De Reve (5/1), El Kaldoun (15/2), Storm Home (9/1), I'd Better Go Now (10/1), Coded Message (14/1), Mr Clarkson (16/1), Monbeg Theatre (16/1), Finalshot (18/1), No Hidden Charges (18/1)
The lightly-raced PALMERS HILL is potentially a smart novice chaser and is taken to make a winning start in this sphere back from another absence. El Kaldoun, Storm Home and Finalshot head up the dangers despite all three of them having fallen last time out.
