Fairly useful 3m winning hurdler who made encouraging start over fences when staying-on fourth of 12 in handicap chase at Hexham (20.1f, soft) in October. Didn't seem to get home over 26.2f latest.

Improved when making a winning reappearance in November 2019 over this C&D. Fell a month later and following best part of a year off, he failed to meet market expectations at Ayr.

Won off 3 lb higher at Uttoxeter (3m) in spring 2019. Promising reappearance at Wetherby in October but he recoiled from that effort back there a fortnight later.

Consented to jump off having refused on reappearance and added another runner-up effort to his tally ay Carlisle a month ago. Same mark here but he isn't for maximum faith.

Better than ever when winning back-to-back handicaps in early 2018. Off 32 months after but matched that form when runner-up at Newcastle last month. Given time to recover from that.

Fair winning chaser last season for Warren Greatrex but he has shown little in 4 runs for his new yard. Hard to make a case for.

Forecasts

Caventara (10/3), The Delray Munky (9/2), Cesar Et Rosalie (6/1), Millarville (6/1), Doktor Glaz (7/1), Gipsy Lee Rose (9/1), Craiganboy (9/1), Dolly Dancer (10/1), Damiens Dilemma (10/1), Charlie Snow Angel (20/1), King Of Fashion (28/1), Sandhurst Lad (66/1)

Verdict

Given his 32-month absence, DOKTOR GLAZ put in an excellent shift when runner-up at Newcastle 3 weeks ago and from the same mark representing an in-form yard, he looks the way to go. Dolly Dancer is back at a more suitable level and is second choice, though Caventara was backed as though clearly thought to be well handicapped last time.

  1. DOKTOR GLAZ (FR)
  2. DOLLY DANCER (IRE)
  3. CAVENTARA
