Good second behind Bear Ghylls on debut in a Warwick bumper and went one place better on return/hurdles bow over C&D in September. Well beaten favourite next time but can bounce back.

£35,000 3-y-o, Gentlewave gelding who shaped promisingly from a less-than-ideal position on his Rules debut when third of 8 in bumper at Carlisle (17.2f, soft) 19 days ago. Makes hurdles bow.

Never-dangerous fifth in bumper at Market Rasen and caught the eye when well held on hurdles bow at Huntingdon last month (connections found guilty of schooling in public). Capable of better.

Ran to similar level as on debut when sixth of 11 in bumper at Warwick (16f, good to soft) 22 days ago. Makes hurdles debut but likely to find a couple too good.

Forecasts

Guard Your Dreams (8/11), Here Comes Johny (15/8), Barrichello (17/2), Rock On Tommy (25/1), Yoyo (33/1)

Verdict

A potential match between HERE COMES JOHNY and Guard Your Dreams, with the former getting the vote to maintain his unbeaten record over hurdles and complete a hat-trick having defied a penalty at Sedgefield earlier this month. Barrichello could feature if either of the principals fail to fire.

  1. HERE COMES JOHNY (IRE)
  2. GUARD YOUR DREAMS
  3. BARRICHELLO
