Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Aidan Coleman| T: N J Henderson| OR: 145

30/100

Shaped as if in need of experience when well beaten on chasing debut at Ascot 12 months ago but not disgraced back over timber when eighth in Coral Cup at Cheltenham 8 months ago. Sure to progress.

Informateur³³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Ryan Mania| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 127

13/2

Fairly useful hurdler who landed handicap hurdle at Sedgefield in February. Shaped as if needing the run on his chasing bow there last month and he should have more to offer.

Form: 12417-6

Right To Reason²⁵⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Sean Quinlan| T: C Grant

125/1

Milan gelding. Dam unraced sister to (2½m winner) Sizing Gold and (stays 2½m) Ten Ten (both useful hurdlers/chasers). Maiden pointer, distant second of 2 finishers last time (Mar 8).

Form: PP42-

Sayar²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Charlie Hammond⁽³⁾| T: N Kent| OR: 125

150/1

Winner of first 2 starts over hurdles for Willie Mullins in 2017 but largely struggled since and showed nothing on chase debut for new yard at Carlisle last month.

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: B S Hughes| T: B Ellison| OR: 133| C

5/1

Four-time hurdles winner last season and added to tally on the Flat in August. Little impact in a pair of chase starts last month (ridden with patience) and handicaps look to be the plan.

Forecasts

Birchdale (30/100), Northofthewall (9/4), Snookered (5/1), Informateur (13/2), Right To Reason (125/1), Sayar (150/1)

This looks to concern NORTHOFTHEWALL and Birchdale, with slight preference for the former after having looked set to go very close before falling 2 out at Aintree earlier this month. Provided his confidence hasn't been dented, he can make amends here. Nicky Henderson's charge is the obvious threat and should improve significantly from his only previous start over fences.
