14/1

Great Pretender gelding who has offered promise in bumper/maiden hurdle, shaping like a stayer when fourth at Chepstow (19.5f) last month. In good hands and highly likely there is more to come.

The Edgar Wallace²⁴⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls

2/1

Cost €140,000 as a 3-y-o and plenty to like about his exploits in bumpers, off the mark in clear-cut fashion at Hereford (2m, heavy) in March. Very much the type his yard do well with over jumps.

Form: 321-

Time Flies By³⁰⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson

Time Flies By (5/4), The Edgar Wallace (2/1), Danny Kirwan (3/1), Torn And Frayed (3/1), Royal Pretender (14/1), In Rem (150/1), Silk Or Satin (250/1)

A useful winner in bumpers, TIME FLIES BY shaped with plenty of promise in the face of stiff tasks in a pair of Grade 2 hurdles last winter. That experience won't have been wasted on him and, with further progress expected, he can capitalise on the return to calmer waters. The Edgar Wallace was impressive in bumpers and is respected, along with Danny Kirwan.
