Fair winning hurdler. Ran with credit tackling fences for the first time when second over 2m here but poor efforts both starts after. Yard going well but back after 8 months off with plenty to prove.

Off the mark second time up in this sphere when taking 20f Warwick handicap but only modest fifth at Huntingdon last time. Blinkers reached for now and needs to bounce back.

Form: 6-47215

Won 3 times as a novice chaser during 2017-18 campaign but well below that level since. 9/1, took step back in right direction on return when fourth of 6 in 20f Ludlow handicap so no forlorn hope.

Form: RP/P8P-4

Defuture Is Bright⁷

8/11

Low-mileage 6-y-o who landed a gamble when easily opening his account in 20f handicap chase at Warwick week ago, storming clear from 2 out. Escapes a penalty so looks very hard to beat.

Form: 3030-61

Pembroke House²²

Weight: 10-8| Age: 13

Forecasts

Defuture Is Bright (8/11), Northern Bound (6/1), Rizzardo (7/1), Dream Bolt (15/2), Massini Man (11/1), Holbrook Park (12/1), Pembroke House (12/1), Fort Gabriel (40/1)

DEFUTURE IS BRIGHT is impossible to oppose as he gets in unpenalised for his easy seven-length conditional jockeys' win at Warwick last week. Veteran Dream Bolt arrives in good nick and is taken to chase home Christian Williams' improver.
