Overpriced Mixer²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 11-4| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| D

1/1

Dual Flat winner and made successful start over hurdles at Kempton (2m) last month. Nearly threw it away (tried to run out last and hung left) but open to progress if that waywardness can be curbed.

Form: 1

Asharann⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: R T Dunne| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero

150/1

Fairly useful winner in France for Jean-Claude Rouget but made a rather inauspicious start over hurdles at Huntingdon in September. Early days but needs to leave that well behind.

Form: 8

Can't Stop Now^h²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Tom Cannon| T: C Gordon

14/1

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1m). Showed aptitude for hurdling when 15½ lengths third to Overpriced Mixer at Kempton but he'll need to settle better to see out trip. Hood may help in that regard.

Form: 3

Carlofantastico^t1⁶²

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: C Gethings| T: Steph Hollinshead

200/1

Well held in Chester novice on sole Flat start in September. Tongue tie added now hurdling.

Form:

Lord P²⁵⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: C Brace⁽³⁾| T: F O'Brien

33/1

Fair 6f winner on AW Flat for Richard Hannon at the start of 2020. Bought for 6,000 gns last month. Joined a top stable but stamina has to be a worry now hurdling.

Form:

Mr Shady⁴⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: W T Kennedy| T: J S Moore

80/1

Fair Flat winner but ran poorly at Bath last time. Hurdle debut.

Form:

Numberoneson¹⁰⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: D A Jacob| T: H Whittington

5/1

Fairly useful 1¼m Flat winner in Ireland. Sold out of Joseph O'Brien stable for 22,000 gns in August. Interesting recruit to hurdles for in-form yard.

Form:

State Crown¹²²

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: S Bowen| T: Evan Williams

14/1

Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 1¼m). Sold from Charlie Appleby for £24,000 in September. Another hurdling newcomer who could be up to playing a part.

Form:

Theocrat³⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: N J Hawke

20/1

Fair maiden on Flat (best efforts at 1½m). Showed an aptitude for hurdles when fourth of 9 over C&D 36 days ago. Open to progress.

Form: 4

Talking About You¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-11| J: Kielan Woods| T: S Curran| OR: 100

20/1

Modest on Flat. Did manage a juvenile hurdle win at Fontwell in September but her limitations have been exposed since.

Form: 321344

Forecasts

Overpriced Mixer (1/1), Naizagai (7/2), Numberoneson (5/1), State Crown (14/1), Can't Stop Now (14/1), Talking About You (20/1), Theocrat (20/1), Lord P (33/1), Mr Shady (80/1), Asharann (150/1), Carlofantastico (200/1)

Harry Whittington has his team in form so a chance is taken on NUMBERONESON who ended his time on the Flat on Ireland with a 1¼m win. Overpriced Mixer nearly threw it away on his hurdle bow and evidently isn't straightforward but he still rates an obvious danger. Can't Stop Now was behind Nicky Henderson's charge on that occasion but could have a bigger say now if a hood helps him settle better.
