Winning Irish pointer at second attempt who showed ability whilst looking a bit rusty/short on experience when third in a Chepstow novice (23.6f) in January. In top hands and likely to improve.
€60,000 3-y-o, Flemensfirth gelding. Half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Special Catch and fairly useful hurdler Miss Tynte. Dual Irish point winner, unplaced last time (Mar 8).
Well held both starts in novice hurdles just 8 days apart.
Showed promise when second of 5 on bumper debut at Killarney in August. Wasn't seen to best effect 10 weeks on at Chepstow on yard debut and this switch to hurdling ought to reveal more.
Just modest form in bumpers but is from a good jumping family and immediately showed more switched to hurdling when second in 18.5f Exeter novice in February. Open to improvement up in trip.
Winning pointer from a successful jumps family but early evidence suggests he's more one for handicaps after this.
Heavy-ground bumper winner at Huntingdon in March. 4/1, may have just needed the run when 18 lengths fourth in 19.7f Wetherby novice hurdle on return. Tongue strap on now. Likely to progress.
Missed plenty of time since winning his point in Feb 2017 but shaped with plenty of encouragement when third at Uttoxeter in February. Went as if amiss at Wincanton a month later (had wind op since).
Encouraging signs when runner-up in an Ayr bumper on debut in January but tame effort at Warwick 2 months later. Has since undergone wind surgery and tongue strap enlisted for this hurdles debut.
Placed in Irish points but little in the way of promise in a pair of mares novice hurdles under Rules.

Ask Me Early (2/1), Martinhal (5/2), Sending Love (10/3), Lamanver Storm (7/1), Beatthebullet (14/1), Champagne Rhythm (25/1), Western Starlet (40/1), Le Tueur (125/1), Something Rosie (125/1), Brief Acquaintance (200/1)
Impressive bumper winner MARTINHAL showed plenty in a good race at Wetherby on his hurdling debut last month, and with his yard going well and this slower ground sure to be his favour, he's taken to make his second start in this sphere a winning one now fitted with a tongue tie. There ought to be more to come from Ask Me Early and Lamanver Storm too, and they are considered the main threats.
