Benny In Milan¹⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: Henry Brooke| T: Mrs Stella Barclay| OR: 99

11/1

Fair hurdler in Ireland for Denis Hogan. Below par both starts over 16.2f here for new yard since returning from a 15-month absence, but this is more his trip and the handicapper has relented.

Form: 05P6-78

Artic Mann²³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Lucy Alexander| T: N W Alexander| OR: 95

16/1

Yet to make the frame in four runs over hurdles, ending season with poor fifth of 6 in C&D handicap. Plenty to prove on return after 7-month absence.

Form: 80555-

Green Zone¹⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-2| J: Grant Cockburn⁽³⁾| T: Miss L Harrison| OR: 93

9/2

Struggled on return at Perth in September, but much more like it when third in back-to-back handicaps here last month. Remains on a fair mark and should make his presence felt.

Form: 260-632

Old Jewry^p¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Ross Chapman| T: D Bourke| OR: 91

13/2

Back on the right track with cheekpieces applied/tongue strap refitted when third of 11 at Market Rasen (18.6f, good) in September. Not disgraced at Ayr since and not without each-way hope.

Form: 33-8P35

Annebelle²³⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 10-13| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR: 90

12/1

Hasn't shown much in a couple of bumpers nor her 3 starts in this sphere. Vast improvement needed now upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Form: 60764-

Fourth Of July^t¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: Ryan Mania| T: R M Smith| OR: 88

6/1

Went close off a similar mark at Musselburgh in January, but not so good in 2 starts (both at 2m) since returning to action last month and needs to raise his game now faced with a stiffer test.

Form: 0329-56

Elle Est Grande¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 10-9| J: Peter Coleman⁽¹⁰⁾| T: K Dalgleish| OR: 86| BF

3/1

Given a chance by the handicapper and got back on track when third of 13 in handicap chase at Perth (20.1f) in September. However, poor effort back over hurdles here last time.

Form: P-56P3P

Forecasts

Elle Est Grande (3/1), Mister Manduro (7/2), Green Zone (9/2), Fourth Of July (6/1), Old Jewry (13/2), Achill Road Boy (7/1), Wee Goldie (8/1), Benny In Milan (11/1), Annebelle (12/1), Artic Mann (16/1), Bushypark (20/1)

A chance is taken on BENNY IN MILAN, who has slipped to an attractive mark and may well leave last month's efforts here well behind now faced with a more suitable stamina test. Green Zone will be a big threat, particularly if more use is made of him than when runner-up over 25.8f here a fortnight ago, while Old Jewry makes some each-way appeal.
