Yet to complete in both starts over fences but was in the process of running well when unseating rider 2 out at this course (19.2f, good to soft) 19 days ago. Leading player granted a clear round.

Only one win from 34 runs, and again ran below form when sixth of 12 in handicap chase at Huntingdon (23.6f, good to soft) 23 days ago, going off too hard. Mark continues to fall but must bounce back.
Landed a veterans chase at Huntingdon last autumn and best effort since when third at Kelso in September. Looked half-hearted back at Huntingdon just over 3 weeks ago and the visor is reached for.
Irish import who posted a couple of decent efforts in handicap chases for new connections last season. Ran a moody race on return at Uttoxeter last month and the first-time visor goes on.
Lightly-raced maiden hurdler who ran at least as well as he'd ever done when sixth on his chase debut at this course (19.2f, good to soft) 19 days ago. Should have more to offer.
Pulled up in handicap chase (40/1) at Sedgefield (21.1f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time but can't be recommended on recent showings.
Both career victories gained at Sedgefield but he ran up to his best when runner-up over this C&D in January. Pulled up both starts since but now 3 lb below last winning mark.
Little impact since shedding maiden tag at Taunton back in March 2019. Probably needed run on return at Bangor 9 days ago but does need to build on that upped in trip.
Winning Irish pointer who has looked limited on balance under Rules, pulled up after all but unseating at the second (saddle slipped as a result) on chasing bow 37 days ago.
Fair winning chaser back in 2015, but it's been a while since he showed spark under Rules or between the flags. Cheekpieces go on for the first time.
Has become disappointing, pulled up/tailed off on all 5 starts over fences. Makes no appeal from well out of the handicap on return.

Forecasts
Imperial Acolyte (3/1), De Barley Basket (16/5), Pakie's Dream (4/1), Alexander The Grey (5/1), Fr Humphrey (10/1), Wherewouldugetit (12/1), Two Hoots (16/1), Swinton Diamond (25/1), Hediddodinthe (28/1), Midnight Owle (40/1), Take The Crown (80/1)
IMPERIAL ACOLYTE has failed to complete in a couple of starts over fences, but he was in the process of running well when unseating here just under 3 weeks ago and looks sure to go close granted a clear round. De Barley Basket shaped a bit better than the distance beaten suggested on his chasing bow so gets the nod for second, while Two Hoots must bounce back but may offer some each-way value.
- IMPERIAL ACOLYTE
- DE BARLEY BASKET (IRE)
- TWO HOOTS (IRE)
