Showed a good attitude to get off the mark under Rules in novice hurdle at Bangor on return and big improvement when only just denied on chase bow there next time. Opening mark could be lenient.

Yet to match his fairly useful hurdles form from 3 attempts over fences, including when sixth of 7 in handicap chase at Warwick (20f, good) 35 days ago.

Some improvement when off the mark at Hereford when last seen in March though his jumping was again not foot perfect. Only 2 lb higher here, however, so not taken lightly.

Successful between the flags and fairly useful form over hurdles on debut season under Rules. However, made an unpromising start to chasing career at Uttoxeter on return.

Useful bumper winner. Very lightly raced since but ran best race over hurdles when second on handicap debut at Catterick and good third on chase bow at Huntingdon on return. Headgear/tongue strap on.

Multiple winner early last year and best effort since when second at Bangor in July. Lacklustre efforts both starts since, however, including on chase bow.

Point winner and shaped like a real stayer when going close in 21f Warwick novice hurdle. Not in same form at Uttoxeter next time but should make a chaser.

Forecasts

Cool Destination (7/4), Subway Surf (16/5), Terrierman (5/1), Bootlegger (9/1), Captain Woodie (9/1), The Triple Pillar (11/1), Ivilnoble (20/1), Black Buble (25/1)

Verdict

COOL DESTINATION seemed to excel himself sent chasing when only just failing at Bangor and an opening mark of 122 looks on the lenient side if that form is taken literally. Captain Woodie looks the part for chasing and should come on from his encouraging first start over fences, while Subway Surf is an interesting debutante in this sphere.
