Minella Trump²³²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 127| D

7/2

Won back-to-back novice events to end 2019 and first past the post at Bangor in February (only to be demoted). Won sole start in Irish points so no surprise were to excel over fences.

Alnadam²³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 125| D

11/2

Point winner who won a novice and a handicap at up to 19.7f over hurdles last term. Sure to have been well prepared for this chase debut.

Form: 1/81441-

Chambard²⁴⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-5| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 125

6/1

Progressive in novice hurdles in 2018, usually well backed, and successful at Exeter. Failed to win in 4 handicap chase evens last term, not looking totally straightforward in the process.

Form: 23/2225-

Baron De Midleton¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Henry Brooke| T: B Ellison| OR: 125| D

9/4

Fairly useful dual winning novice hurdler last season. Landed an Irish point at the start of his career and opening fifth over fences here (2m) was promising. More to come.

Form: 4141F-5

Rath An Iuir²³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Dobbin| OR: 123

7/2

Winning Irish pointer who landed a Newcastle novice under similar conditions in December. Lost no caste in defeat in a brace of handicaps and yard going well upon return.

Form: 31/4122-

Uptown Harry³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Ross Chapman| T: Mrs J Walton| OR: 120

18/1

Winner of 22f Kelso maiden hurdle last season before signing off with promising second in handicap over C&D on debut over fences. Looked rusty back hurdling earlier this month.

Form: 4P142-8

Forecasts

Baron De Midleton (9/4), Rath An Iuir (7/2), Minella Trump (7/2), Alnadam (11/2), Chambard (6/1), Uptown Harry (18/1)

BARON DE MIDLETON offered plenty to work on in what looks a strong race of its type over 2m at this venue on debut over fences 17 days ago, and back up in trip, can put that experience to good use. Minella Trump, Alnadam and Rath An Iuir all reappear over fences for the first time having each tasted success between the flags.
