Likeable mare who was second in this last year before winning Betvictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham. Rounded off last term with excellent second in Plate at Festival there. Should give it usual good shot.

Won this race in 2018 and fourth 12 months ago. Not seen since fourth of 5 in Kempton Grade 2 in January but has good record when fresh and likely to be competitive.

Off a year after winning at Worcester (2m) last September but made a pleasing return when fourth at Fontwell last month. No back number despite age.

Bumper/hurdle winner who was a smart novice chaser last term, including 3m Warwick Grade 2 win in January. May go on to better things this season but suspicion he'll find this test on sharp side.

Back to winning ways in C&D handicap in January. Pulled up in Plate at Cheltenham Festival in March but should fare better back in slightly waters on return (goes well fresh).

Fairly useful winning hurdler/chaser who shaped as if better for run when seventh of 10 on Market Rasen reappearance 13 days ago. Capable off this mark at best.

Hurdles winner who got off mark over fences in Newbury novice in March 2019 but he hasn't been seen since a good second at Haydock in May of that year. Betting perhaps best guide to expectations.

Dual novice chase winner in 2018 and second in 4-runner Doncaster handicap when last seen in December of that year. Subsequent absence an obvious concern, particularly as he returns in warm race.

Let down by his jumping at the end of last season but he did look promising to start with and his fencing has presumably been worked on since. Sharper for a recent spin over hurdles. Cheekpieces on.

Fit from Flat (third latest). Did land 2 novice chase wins last season but hasn't always convinced with his jumping and there'll be pressure placed upon him in this competitive handicap scenario.

Built on encouraging reappearance when opening chase account at Uttoxeter (2½m) last month. Best of those ridden prominently when fourth in hot race at Market Rasen since. Can make mistakes.

Two For Gold (9/4), Happy Diva (6/1), Born Survivor (6/1), Vinnie The Hoddie (7/1), Louis' Vac Pouch (7/1), Joke Dancer (11/1), Charmant (12/1), Huntsman Son (14/1), Nietzsche (16/1), Royal Village (16/1), Sizing Platinum (22/1), The Unit (40/1)

Verdict

Cheltenham in a fortnight's time is likely the main aim for HAPPY DIVA but she ran well in this on reappearance last year and it would be no surprise if this most consistent mare proved up to conceding weight all round. Charmant won over C&D last winter and has twice been successful on his seasonal reappearance so he's respected, while Vinnie The Hoddie should also figure if his jumping holds up.
