Looked set to go close when stumbling and unseating his rider 2 out in Grade 2 chase at Limerick (22.6f, heavy, 9/2) on her final outing last season, so certainly not discounted.

Useful chaser. Ran as well as could be expected when 6 lengths third of 7 in Grade 3 chase (11/8) at Roscommon (16.6f, good) 31 days ago. Trainer going well. Worthy of respect.

Forecasts

Western Victory (6/5), Andalusa (9/4), Tintangle (5/1), Humm Baby (9/1), Dont Kick Nor Bite (18/1), Make My Heart Fly (33/1), Trumps Ace (66/1), Laureate (200/1)

Verdict

WESTERN VICTORY would have doubled her career tally over fences but for a final-flight fall at Listowel last month, and she can gain compensation here, perhaps at the chief expense of Andalusa, who is back amongst her own sex after posting a good third in a Grade 3 at Roscommon. Tintangle also deserves a mention.

  1. WESTERN VICTORY (IRE)
  2. ANDALUSA (FR)
  3. TINTANGLE (IRE)
