Veteran C&D winner who sprung something of a surprise when successful on return at Stratford (22.5f) in September. Disappointing here latest but clearly a player down markedly in class.

Largely underwhelming efforts in handful of starts last season, typically not fluent and never on terms when seventh at Kempton (3m) in February. Still, arrives fresh and this much less demanding.

Essentially held his form well this season, hitting the frame on 3 of his 5 starts and went well for a long way at Stratford (21f) 11 days ago. However, operating from out of the weights here.

Useful one-time hurdler/chaser but he's now firmly in to the veteran stage and well held in points earlier this year. Stiff task on his hands from out of the weights on first Rules start since 2017.

Forecasts

Princeton Royale (6/4), Dream Bolt (9/4), Wicked Willy (3/1), Master Burbidge (10/1), Abbey Lane (80/1)

Verdict

PRINCETON ROYALE isn't the most consistent as a rule but he's undoubtedly capable, and having run well here on a number of occasions, he's fancied to capitalise on the marked drop in class. Wicked Willy was disappointing himself last term but will find this less demanding and rates the chief threat.

  1. PRINCETON ROYALE (IRE)
  2. WICKED WILLY (IRE)
  3. DREAM BOLT (IRE)
