Paid his way on Flat/over hurdles during second half of 2019 for Joseph O'Brien, winning 4 times. However, no impact for current connections over hurdles. Tongue tied on this first run for 8 months.
Winning Irish pointer who shaped well in bumpers/2 novice hurdles last season, his form having a good look to it. Suspect there is more to come from him now handicapping up in trip.
Lightly raced since 2017 and below his best confined to just 2 outings last term, midfield at Wetherby (21f) in December. Now operating from a career-low mark though and worth a check in the betting.
Lightly raced and showed improved form to get off the mark after 8 months off in similar event at Sedgefield 4 weeks ago. That form has a thin look to it however, and he's gone up 11 lb.
Last season was a write-off having won a Newbury juvenile handicap hurdle to end the previous campaign. Has dropped further in the weights at least.
Closely related to top-class hurdler The New One and left the impression there are races to be won with him when last seen at Ludlow (21.2f, well-backed for handicap debut). Interesting.
Shaped better than the bare result on his return here (16.7f, heavy) 4 weeks ago, not knocked about as he faded in the mud. Down another 2 lb and has races in him.
Ex-pointer who has showed up well in a bumper/novice hurdles and type to do better still now handicapping this season.
Fairly useful hurdler at his best for David Pipe but off a while and showed nothing for new yard at Hexham 17 days ago.
Promise in novice/maiden hurdles (first run for this yard on return 3 weeks ago) and could do a lot better now handicapping up in trip.
Suspect last year's runs in maiden/novice hurdles didn't get to the bottom of him and could do a lot better now handicapping after 10 months off.
Useful on the Flat for Karl Burke and has shown a fair bit in 3 runs in 2m hurdles for this yard. Goes handicapping back from 10 months off.
Dual novice hurdle winner for Nick Gifford in 2018. Lurks on a tempting mark starting out for new connections after 8 months off.

Cathal's Star (7/2), Java Point (5/1), The Newest One (5/1), Morning Spirit (11/2), King D'Argent (6/1), Mint Condition (15/2), General Probus (15/2), Exploiteur (12/1), Ardmayle (12/1), Eaton Hill (14/1), The Knot Is Tied (14/1), Wax And Wane (25/1), Notre Ami (50/1), Linger (150/1), Whitley Neill (150/1)
A fair bit of depth to this handicap and JAVA POINT could be the way to go. There is a good bit of strength to his novice hurdle form and he looks the type to do better now handicapping returning for a yard among the winners. General Probus and Mint Condition have similar profiles and are just a couple of the other likely contenders.
- JAVA POINT (IRE)
- GENERAL PROBUS
- MINT CONDITION
