Off time: 16:04 | Winning time: 3m 35.00s

Blistering Bob^h⁶⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: James Best| T: R WalfordWS

9/1

Dual Flat winner but no show on hurdles debut/first run for Alan King at Doncaster in February (later reported to have bled) and no better for current yard so far. Has had a wind op.

Form: 0-75

Getabuck²²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: A Stronge

10/1

Off mark in points at fourth attempt last March. Low-key start under Rules, but much more like it when fourth at Huntingdon in March.

Form: P219/64-

Good Bye^b1¹⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Dave Crosse| T: M F Harris

16/1

Modest staying maiden on Flat. First worthwhile form over hurdles when sixth over C&D 10 days ago, finishing with running left. Blinkers now on but probably still a handicap project.

Form: 766

Lord Howard²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Alexander Thorne⁽⁵⁾| T: Joanne Thomason-Murphy

100/1

Fair Flat winner for Mick Channon, leaving that yard for £7,000 in July. Weakened out of it back hurdling at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago.

Form: P-9

Namib Dancer²⁶⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: James Bowen| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR: 119

8/13

Placed in a bumper and plenty of encouragement when runner-up first 2 starts over hurdles this time last year. Fair sixth in a deep novice at Newbury in February and that sets good standard.

Form: 63/226-

Ritas Legacy^h1,t¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Kielan Woods| T: L Hurley

250/1

Poor maiden on Flat for Roy Brotherton and no impact on hurdles bow recently following 20 months off. Hood added.

Form: 0

Secret Potion⁴⁰⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: P F Nicholls

85/40

Dam half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 3m) Seventh Sky. Useful on Flat, stays 1½m, well held in Deutsches St Leger last time. Has left H. Grewe and is an interesting hurdling recruit.

Form:

Sing Out Loud¹⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Kimber⁽⁷⁾| T: M Madgwick

14/1

Fair on Flat (stays 1¼m) but someway below that level twice over hurdles.

Form: 7-5

Forecasts

Namib Dancer (8/13), Secret Potion (85/40), Blistering Bob (9/1), Getabuck (10/1), Sing Out Loud (14/1), Good Bye (16/1), Lord Howard (100/1), Ritas Legacy (250/1)

This should develop into a match between SECRET POTION and Namib Dancer, with marginal preference for the former on hurdles bow given he achieved a useful level on the Flat in France and has joined Paul Nicholls.
