Naizagai^t⁷⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 11-5| J: Max Kendrick⁽³⁾| T: F O'BrienWS

11/8

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat for Roger Varian and bright start to hurdles career when making all at Cartmel (17.2f, good to soft) in August (since undergone wind surgery). Obvious claims.

Bentley Wood¹²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: R T Dunne| T: D Burchell

40/1

Some fair efforts on the Flat for Mick Channon but likely to come up short on this hurdles debut.

Form:

Cabot Cliffs^h1¹⁰²

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Skelton| T: D SkeltonWS

6/1

Showed ability in handful of runs on the level for Charles Hills at up to 11.4f. Improvement needed now switched to hurdles but he's joined a respected yard and has undergone a wind op. Hood applied.

Form:

Jan Wellens^p1²²

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David England| T: O Murphy

40/1

Successful on the Flat for Ger Lyons during the summer but held back by novicey mistakes when fifth on hurdles debut at Perth last month. Cheekpieces fitted.

Form: 5

Magna Moralia¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: T J O'Brien| T: J & S Quinn| BF

11/10

Dual winner on the Flat and probably would've made a successful hurdles debut at Sedgefield (16.8f, good) but for a mistake at the last flight. Open to plenty of improvement and he's the one to beat.

Form: 2

You Owe Me^p1¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Jamie Bargary| T: S-J Davies

150/1

Disappointing on the Flat for Mark Johnston and failed to beat a rival home on the switch to this sphere at Huntingdon 16 days ago. Now tried in cheekpieces.

Form: 9

Forecasts

Magna Moralia (11/10), Naizagai (11/8), Cabot Cliffs (6/1), Jan Wellens (40/1), Bentley Wood (40/1), You Owe Me (150/1)

MAGNA MORALIA almost certainly would've made a winning start to his hurdles career at Sedgefield had he met the final flight on a better stride. There should be better to come from John Quinn's charge and he earns the vote ahead of Naizagai, who also made a very promising debut in this sphere when scoring at Cartmel. Cabot Cliffs showed ability on the Flat and is the pick of the remaining quartet.
