Dual winner last season, including under this good conditional, but his attitude has deteriorated and he turned it in completely on his comeback at Stratford.

Brought along steadily last term and looked in need of the run on handicap debut/return at Fontwell (17.7f) in August. Much better expected upped markedly in trip now.

Bounced back to form to land only his second victory in C&D handicap a fortnight ago. Up just 3 lb and a player again for all this is a much deeper race.

Best runs in recent seasons have come over the Market Rasen fences. Reappears for Tom Symonds (1 of 2 here formerly trained by David Dennis who has joined the yard). Might need this to get his eye in.

More of a chaser on pedigree but showed a bit off a stiff-looking mark in a couple of handicap hurdles in January. Has had a wind operation and steps up in trip on return.

Forecasts

Wasdell Dundalk (5/2), Crystal Lad (9/2), Nobel Joshua (13/2), Innisfree Lad (7/1), Cyclop (7/1), Oldabbey Bridge (8/1), Linenhall (10/1), Sandy Boy (12/1), Bletchley Castle (12/1), Somekindofstar (14/1), Always Able (33/1), Hot To Trot (50/1)

Verdict

There is likely plenty more to come from WASDELL DUNDALK now stepping up markedly in trip and a big run could be on the cards. Innisfree Lad, one of two in the race who have made the switch to the Tom Symonds stable along with David Dennis, lurks on a good mark on his return and is interesting. Crystal Lad won a thinner race here a fortnight ago but must be respected.
