Below par both completed starts since returning to action in July, but couldn't rule out all the same given that she won this race off the same mark 12 months ago.

Well beaten in 2 starts last season (both over hurdles) and since undergone another wind operation. On a good mark if able to bounce back, but it's a big 'if'.

Clear-cut winner over hurdles at Southwell last October and has performed well in 2 starts over fences, latterly finishing third of 9 off this mark at Uttoxeter (20f, good to soft). Merits respect.

Lightly-raced and generally below par since latest success at Wetherby in November 2018. Conversely, she's now 5 lb below that winning mark and will be a threat if first-time cheekpieces do the trick.

Forecasts

Oscar Rose (11/10), Dame du Soir (13/8), Kalahari Queen (3/1), Nightfly (10/3), Simply Loveleh (6/1), Field Exhibition (7/1)

Verdict

Assuming she's ready to roll DAME DU SOIR could prove a very tough nut to crack. Indeed, she appeared to have the race at her mercy when falling 4 out upped to this trip at Ludlow in February and she resumes on the same mark. It would be no surprise were last year's winner Field Exhibition to bounce back with a bold show and she is next best ahead of Oscar Rose.

  1. DAME DU SOIR (FR)
  2. FIELD EXHIBITION (IRE)
  3. OSCAR ROSE (IRE)
