Showed some ability in bumpers/novice hurdles and similar story over fences last 2 starts, third of 5 in handicap chase at Fontwell (26f, good to firm) 50 days ago, unable to sustain effort.
Registered first career success over hurdles in rather fortunate fashion at Exeter in November. However, seen out only twice since and sold from Graeme McPherson for £2,000 in July.
Positive start for this yard when winning back-to-back handicap chases last summer and good second after 12 months off at Perth (23.8f) in July. Disappointed at Hexham next time, however.
Veteran who returned to form from out of the blue from 4 lb out of the weights to win over C&D 6 weeks ago, though with 6 fences omitted his suspect jumping wasn't put to the test. Opposable.
Ran best race back over fences after 6 months off when second at Uttoxeter and confirmed that form when filling the same position at Newton Abbot. Remains unexposed in this sphere.
Stiff task last time but below par previous 2 starts after 10 months off. Others preferred.
Perth chase winner back in 2018 but little impact since. Easily opposed.
Well held all 4 starts last season but step back in the right direction after 12 months off when fifth of 8 in handicap chase at Southwell (24.3f, good to firm) 44 days ago.
Veteran who's firmly on the downgrade, tenth of 13 in handicap hurdle at Cartmel (22.1f, soft) on return 45 days ago.

The Late Legend (5/4), Friends Don't Ask (7/2), Burning Issues (9/2), Late Date (5/1), Dutch Canyon (7/1), Arboretum (16/1), Apache Pilot (25/1), Derrick D'Anjou (28/1), Havana Jack (33/1), Brother Scott (50/1), Betterlatethanneva (100/1)
THE LATE LEGEND has improved over fences this season, runner-up at Uttoxeter and Newton Abbot, and is taken to go one better. Three-time C&D winner Late Date made a respectable comeback at Perth so rates the main threat back down in class, with the lightly-raced Friends Don't Ask best of the others.
