£270,000 Irish point winner who struck at second time of asking over hurdles last season. Didn't really kick on but very much the type to make a better chaser.

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser who seems hard to train these days and was below form on both outings last season. Plenty to prove after a further 7 months off.

Unreliable over hurdles but looked a natural when making a winning chasing debut at Perth 27 days, jumping fluently and comfortably asserting in the straight. Obvious claims if in the same form.

Fair form in novice hurdles but ran a strange race on seasonal/chasing debut at Hexham last month, rallying having been tailed on the back straight. Hard to know if he'll build on that.

Some good efforts in handicap company without success over fences for Lucinda Russell last season. Returns from 7 months on a fair mark for a new yard.

Forecasts

Dundrum Wood (11/5), His Dream (3/1), Bako De La Saulaie (4/1), Slainte Mhor (9/2), Exit To Where (11/2), Speak Of The Devil (6/1), Millarville (14/1)

Verdict

DUNDRUM WOOD didn't quite come up to expectations over hurdles but he managed to get his head in front and is the type to make a significantly better chaser, so he's fancied to make a winning start to life in this sphere. Ready Perth winner His Dream is an obvious danger bidding to maintain his unbeaten chasing record, while Speak of The Devil can't be dismissed after an improved win on Friday.
