King Cool^b³⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 11-11| J: Tom Buckley⁽³⁾| T: G & J Moore| OR: 101| C| D

4/1

Chase/hurdles winner who has fallen a long way in the weights and capitalised under a good front-running ride to score over extended 21f here in August. Claims in another ordinary affair.

Hot To Trot^t³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Fergus Gregory| T: Mrs L Hill| OR: 100

18/1

Dual point winner who has showed ability on 2 of her 3 starts in novice events spread over 7 months. Steps up in trip for handicap debut and well worth a close market check.

Form: 1F/15-P7

More Music⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Ben Jones| T: L Morgan| OR: 97

9/2

Much improved when landing 3m Clonmel handicap hurdle on final run for previous yard in February. However, no show all 3 starts since crossing the Irish Sea and he's hard to warm to.

Form: 891-P00

Alkopop³³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Max Kendrick| T: T Lawes| OR: 92

17/2

Well held completed start over hurdles, though he did catch the eye when midfield in a Stratford maiden (22f) 11 months ago. Has a fairly useful pedigree and one to note in betting now handicapping.

Form: P7/6-

Invincible Cave^p⁶⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: Mr Nathan Brennan⁽¹⁰⁾| T: C Gordon| OR: 86

3/1

One-time fairly useful hurdler for Gordon Elliott but remains with little form for current yard, taking no interest from the off and ultimately pulled up early at Cartmel (25.4f) in July.

Form: 9P70-8P

Mogestic^p²¹

Age: 11| Weight: 10-10| J: Page Fuller| T: J W Mullins| OR: 86| CD

3/1

Veteran who gained compensation for his agonising defeat here when landing a C&D handicap chase last month. 7 lb higher back over timber but he's a player with a repeat.

Form: UP7-721

Alka Step¹²

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: Shane Quinlan| T: J J Bridger| OR: 70

11/1

Winning pointer but yet to offer much under Rules and hard to recommend from 6 lb out of the weights.

Form: 8/8P-UP0

Non-Runners

Noble Glance²¹

Weight: 11-12| Age: 7

T: C Poulton J: Charlie Price

Good News³⁶

Forecasts

Mogestic (3/1), Invincible Cave (3/1), King Cool (4/1), More Music (9/2), Alkopop (17/2), Good News (10/1), Alka Step (11/1), Noble Glance (16/1), Hot To Trot (18/1)

KING COOL came in for a good front-running ride and duly capitalised on his much-reduced mark to score over shorter here in August. Effective over this longer trip, he can defy a rise in the weights in another ordinary affair. Mogestic, who tasted success over fences recently, and handicap-debutant Alkopop head up the dangers.
