Age: 7| Weight: 11-11| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 121

10/3

Improved model over fences last season, off the mark at Doncaster (19f) in January and best not judged too harshly on his subsequent Musselburgh display the following month. Not ruled out on return.

Lock's Corner^p,t³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 120| D

85/40

Very much going the right way, scoring on his final two hurdling outings last year and back from 8 months off with easy success over fences at Southwell (20.4f) last month. Type to progress again.

Form: 84611-1

Boa Island^t²⁶²

Age: 10| Weight: 11-10| J: Ross Chapman| T: M A Barnes| OR: 120| D

50/1

Fairly useful chaser in 2017 but lightly raced since and he showed nothing on sole start for Nicky Richards at Wetherby in January. Starts out for another new yard here but tough to assess.

Form: P3332/P-

Twotwothree¹⁹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: P J Brennan| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 118| C| D

10/3

Dual chase winner last winter (at up to 17.3f) and back on track when runner-up in 4-runner Southwell handicap (15.8f) in March. Returns with yard in good form.

Form: 6/11362-

Dream Bolt^t²⁸

Age: 12| Weight: 11-1| J: S Bowen| T: D A Rees| OR: 111| D

9/2

Found just one too strong back from a break at Stratford in July and similar form when filling same spot at Newton Abbot (21f) 4 weeks ago. Possibilities for all his losing run is off-putting.

Form: 685/242

Cut The Corner²⁴

Age: 12| Weight: 11-0| J: Alex Edwards⁽³⁾| T: A Ralph| OR: 110| D

7/1

Veteran who was twice successful from much higher marks during 2018 but largely disappointing last summer and yet to fire in 2 outings so far this time around. Others make greater appeal.

Form: 5442-46

Forecasts

Lock's Corner (85/40), Pogue (10/3), Twotwothree (10/3), Dream Bolt (9/2), Cut The Corner (7/1), Boa Island (50/1)

LOCK'S CORNER ended last season on the up over hurdles, winning twice, and he continued the good work on return over fences at Southwell in August, scoring in fine style. The type to progress further in this sphere, he can defy a rise in the weights. Pogue is better than he showed at Musselburgh in February and is feared, ahead of Twotwothree.
