Returned to form when third of 19 in handicap at York (10.2f, good) 23 days ago, nearest finish. One to be interested in on the back of that.
Second on AW at Chelmsford last month but not in the same at Pontefract 3 weeks later and he's only beaten one home in his 3 outings on turf this year.
Placed 5 times in handicaps this term before finally getting off the mark in Chester novice 18 days ago. Confidence may have been boosted and he's only 1 lb higher than when going close last month.
Fair maiden who performed with credit when fifth in a couple of handicaps at Haydock this summer. Less exposed than most of these back from break and interesting runner, particularly if backed.
Ended losing run at Haydock in June but he's been more miss than hit since.
Dual 1m winner at Hamilton this year. Another fine effort at that venue when third over 11f 4 weeks ago. Needs to bounce back after sixth of 7 in handicap (11/2) at Hamilton (9.2f, good) 1 day ago.
Fairly useful maiden who has been runner-up on his last 3 starts. Mark has edged up all the while but it's unlikely to prevent him being very competitive again.
C&D winner in August but not in the same form when down the field twice since. Bounce back called for.
Has improved gradually in a trio of novice events so far, sixth of 11 at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 48 days ago. Looks type to do better in handicaps and needs a market check.

Forecasts
Baryshnikov (10/3), Sucellus (10/3), Bucephalus (7/2), Abbotside (4/1), Granite City Doc (10/1), Howzer Black (16/1), Firlinfeu (16/1), Homespin (22/1), Purple Knight (40/1)
BARYSHNIKOV's breakthrough success at Chester was deserved after some solid efforts in handicaps this season and he may be able to follow up now he's finally got his head in front. Sucellus will be a threat if reproducing anything like the form he showed at York last time, while Bucephalus didn't shape too badly in a couple of 3-yo handicaps just after resumption and is interesting on his return.
- BARYSHNIKOV
- SUCELLUS
