Twice-raced maiden, and not seen out since pulled up in novice hurdle (16/1) at Warwick (21f, heavy) 9 months ago. Irish point winner and in good hands so still likely to improve.

Fair hurdler but he arrives on back of modest fifth of 7 in novice at Sedgefield (19.8f, good) 24 days ago. Others appeal more.

Twice-raced maiden over hurdles. Fair Flat winner who posted good third at Salisbury (14f) 38 days ago so much respected back over hurdles.

Fairly useful at 14f on Flat. Off 10 months/after wind op, looked set to make winning debut over hurdles in 2m novice here until falling two out. Well worth another chance so holds good claims.

150/1, offered little when seventh of 12 in novice at Fontwell (19.2f, good to firm) on hurdles bow 41 days ago. Faces stiff task here.

Fairly useful hurdler but off the track since below-par fifth in 2m handicap hurdle at Newbury 9 months ago. The clear form pick but her lengthy absence is a concern.

Timeform
80/1 when last of 6 in bumper here (16.8f, good) on NH debut 20 days ago. Needs to show a lot more now hurdling.

Forecasts

Sunrise Ruby (5/6), Sovereign Duke (10/3), Moon of Baroda (4/1), Hacksaw Ridge (15/2), If Karl's Berg Did (33/1), Dark Storm (150/1), Winter Tale (300/1)

Verdict

SOVEREIGN DUKE is the one to side with as he looked all set to make a winning start over hurdles here until coming down two out and today's longer trip will hold no fears to this fairly useful middle-distance stayer on the Flat. Sunrise Ruby rates the chief threat but Nicky Henderson's mare has a nine-month absence to overcome which tempers enthusiasm. Moon of Baroda looks the pick of the rest.

  1. SOVEREIGN DUKE (GER)
  2. SUNRISE RUBY (IRE)
  3. MOON OF BARODA
