5/1

Fairly useful hurdles winner who got off the mark in this sphere at Fontwell last October. Runner-up on 3 of his 5 subsequent starts, but more needed in first-time cheekpieces here.

5/4

Taunton maiden hurdle winner in 2019 and good start over fences when second to Longhouse Sale, who has won twice again since, at Stratford in July. Open to improvement in this sphere.

Finally put it together over fences on return at Market Rasen (17.2f) in July. Good second off this mark over 2½m at Warwick last week and needs considering back down in trip here.

Form: 44P-142

Forecasts

Scardura (5/4), Monsieur D'Arque (10/3), Master Work (5/1), Pingshou (6/1), King Alfonso (15/2)

Though he got no further than the first fence last time, SCARDURA is very appealing judged on his fine chase debut second at Stratford, form which is working out extremely well. On that evidence, he looks pretty well-handicapped off his current mark. Monsieur d'Arque put in a good shift despite finding 2½m too much of a test at Warwick last week and is next on the list ahead of King Alfonso.
