Half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 8.6f Dream Lodge and useful 1¼m winner Splash Mountain. Yard not regular source of winning newcomers but clearly bred to have a future.

Twice-raced colt. 6/1, sixth of 11 in maiden at this course (7f) 79 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Significantly up in trip. Early days for leading stable but improvement will be needed.

Forecasts

Pied Piper (1/3), Silver Gunn (11/2), The Bravest (13/2), Fandabidozi (14/1), Cherokee Dance (50/1), Alsithee (80/1), Ouseburn (100/1)

Verdict

It's hard to see past PIED PIPER who was all the sharper for his debut run when second at Haydock and should have more to come for his top yard. The Bravest showed clear ability when third on debut and promises to be suited by the longer trip so he's the obvious next best unless the betting speaks in the favour of Marco Botti newcomer Silver Gunn.

  1. PIED PIPER
  2. THE BRAVEST (GER)
  3. SILVER GUNN (IRE)
