Easy winner of listed race on return last season and respectable efforts in Group 1 contests after. Made hard work of things when landing odds at Pontefract in June but a big player on pick of form.

Scopey filly who progressed last term, signing off with decisive success in a 1½m handicap at Salisbury. Driven out to land listed race at Saint Cloud last week so fit and in form, but this is harder.

No impact over inadequate 7f only start last season but has developed rapidly this term, winning by wide margins the last twice, including at listed level on her first attempt at 1½m last month.

Forecasts

Alpinista (7/4), Katara (2/1), Antonia De Vega (16/5), Franconia (4/1), Sea of Faith (6/1), Queen Daenerys (16/1)

Verdict

KATARA took the step up in class and trip in her stride when a decisive winner of a listed race on the July course last month, and with further improvement likely, she can pass this assignment. Alpinista emerged with a lot of credit behind the high-class Love in the Yorkshire Oaks and that is form to take very seriously in this, with Antonia de Vega also of interest.

  2. ALPINISTA
  3. ANTONIA DE VEGA (IRE)
