Bumper winner here last spring and successful in 2 of his first 3 starts over hurdles. However, jumping went to pot at Wetherby when last seen in January, which is a worry now switched to fences.

Has found just one too good on 3 of his 5 starts over fences, including when chasing home On The Slopes (winner again since) at Kempton (18f) in February. Should make his presence felt.

Useful novice hurdler last term, winner of a Cheltenham Grade 2 in December. Well held at the Festival on latest start in March, but it's still early days and he's a big player on this chase debut.

Grade 2 hurdles winner for Willie Mullins in 2018. Down the field on debut for this yard on the Flat recently, but will prove hard to beat if jumping passess the test now switched to fences.

Completed the hat-trick over hurdles when scoring here (26.5f) last April. Easy to forgive rare poor effort at Warwick on final run of 2019/20 campaign and should make her mark in this sphere.

Forecasts

Redford Road (13/8), Saglawy (10/3), Not That Fuisse (7/2), Carrolls Milan (6/1), Big Bad Bear (8/1)

Verdict

Given the level of ability they showed over hurdles, SAGLAWY and Redford Road could easily make up into smart novices in this sphere. Preference is for the former, who should have too much speed for Redford Road over this trip and he also has the benefit of a recent run on the Flat under his belt. Not That Fuisse, the only member of the quintet with experience over fences, also has claims.

  1. SAGLAWY (FR)
  2. REDFORD ROAD
  3. NOT THAT FUISSE (FR)
