Verdict

A winner of a Kilbeggan maiden in August, THOUSAND TEARS improved again despite meeting with defeat when third in a 3m Clonmel handicap 18 days ago, the extended run-in over the longer trip stretching him. The return to shorter rates a plus and he gets the nod. Smithscorner has improved plenty over fences of late and is feared from his lower hurdles mark, along with Fairyhill Run.
