Off time: 13:17 | Winning time: 4m 9.60s

Bourbali

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Cobden| T: C L Tizzard

15/2

Sinndar gelding. Half-brother to Saintamarin from the family of high-class chaser (2m-3m winner) Tamarinbleu. Makes plenty of appeal on paper for top stable.

Calidus Mirabilis^p,t1³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: J M Quinlan| T: Miss A Murphy| OR: 109| BF

11/4

Fair AW Flat winner who has shown a bit in 3 runs over hurdles for Joseph O'Brien this summer. In-form new yard have added cheekpieces to his tongue strap and he probably has a race like this in him.

Form: 424

Peat Moss^v²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: N J Hawke

11/1

Modest Flat maiden who fared okay on hurdles debut at Newton Abbot in July, not knocked about in third. Not so good at Cartmel and back on the Flat the last twice, though.

Form: 36

Prince Percy³⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore

9/5

Fair maiden on Flat, ran no sort of race in that sphere last time but had previously shaped well on his hurdles debut at Market Rasen (winner scored again next time) and he has leading claims.

Form: 2

Brown Eyed Girl¹⁹³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: N F Houlihan⁽⁷⁾| T: Miss S West

22/1

Well beaten in 3 AW events for Mick Channon but is a sister to modest hurdler Sixties Idol and half-sister to fair hurdler Brilliant Barca, and she represents yard who won this in 2011, 2018 and 2019.

Form:

Full Secret²⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: N B King

14/1

Modest maiden on Flat (stays 7f), well held on stable debut last time. Well bred but has work to do on hurdles bow.

Form:

Lightning Bug³⁵¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: M G Nolan| T: Miss S Smith

150/1

No form on Flat, not seen for almost a year. Yard do well here but she's difficult to fancy on hurdles debut.

Form:

Treaty Of Dingle²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: G Sheehan| T: S Curran

4/1

Fair on Flat (stays 9f), won weak claimer for Hughie Morrison last time. Wouldn't underestimate for new trainer who won a similar event at Fontwell recently.

Form:

Forecasts

Prince Percy (9/5), Calidus Mirabilis (11/4), Treaty Of Dingle (4/1), Bourbali (15/2), Peat Moss (11/1), Full Secret (14/1), Brown Eyed Girl (22/1), Lightning Bug (150/1)

PRINCE PERCY needs to leave behind a poor run on the level but his hurdles debut before that was full of promise and he could be hard to beat for Plumpton's leading trainer. Calidus Mirabilis probably has a race like this in him and has joined a yard in form. Bourbali and Treaty of Dingle also make some appeal.
