50/1, held back by inexperience when midfield in 7f Thirsk novice on debut a fortnight ago.
£26,000 yearling from family of smart sprinter Intense Romance. Easy to back and well beaten in 6f Chester novice on debut last month. Has had a wind operation.
Foaled April 12. €19,000 yearling, €35,400 2-y-o, Holy Roman Emperor colt. Closely related to 7f winner Croara and half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Achird. Interesting newcomer for in-form yard.
Foaled March 23. £11,000 yearling, £6,400 2-y-o, Pride of Dubai gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 1m winner Barossa Red and winner up to 1¾m Restive. Dam lightly raced.
Just modest form in a couple of 6f novice events in the mud. Might be one for handicaps.
Has shown plenty in 4 starts while suggesting he hasn't peaked yet. This return to 6f will suit and he has a good chance if overcoming the widest draw.
From a good family and fetched 155,000 gns earlier this year. 4/1, shaped well in second behind another promising sort on debut at Windsor (6f) 10 days ago and will improve. Yard do very well here.
Held in a couple of novice events a fortnight apart and probably more one for handicaps.
12/1, little impression in 6f heavy-ground Haydock novice on debut a fortnight ago.
Twice-raced maiden. 100/1, not knocked about and no impression when seventh of 11 in maiden at Beverley (5f, firm) 36 days ago.
Well held in 6f novices at Newbury and Newcastle.

Sir Maxi (1/2), Roydmoor (13/2), Mr Trevor (15/2), Emperor Supreme (16/1), Wanted (16/1), Space Kid (20/1), Mezna (20/1), Elland Road Boy (28/1), Beau Tinker (33/1), Libby Ami (50/1), Tees Spirit (50/1), Furniture Factors (150/1)
Not a deep novice in the slightest and a good opportunity for SIR MAXI to make it second time lucky. He cost a fair bit earlier this year and shaped well on his recent debut at Windsor. He's sure to improve and his yard have an excellent record at Pontefract. Roydmoor is a player if overcoming the highest draw, while Emperor Supreme, also starting from out wide, is a newcomer to note.
- SIR MAXI
- ROYDMOOR
- EMPEROR SUPREME (IRE)
