British Stallion Studs Scottish Premier Series EBF Fillies' Handicap
Class 4 | 1m 2f | Good to Soft (Soft in Places) | 6 Runners | Turf
Off time: 15:30 | Winning time: 2m 17.86s
Lightly-raced winner. Eleventh of 13 in handicap (100/1) at Sandown (8f, good) 26 days ago. Eased 2 lb, but she still looks plenty high enough in the weights and stamina to prove now upped in trip.
Promising individual. 3/1, career best when winning 10-runner handicap at Redcar (10f, heavy) 19 days ago, impressively. Raised 9 lb for that, but further progress is very likely.
Latest win at Haydock in June. 40/1, bit below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 14 days ago. Likely to come up short once more.
Lightly-raced filly. 9/1, career best when winning 6-runner handicap at Haydock (10.2f, heavy) 14 days ago, well positioned. 3 lb rise fair enough and merits respect in her hat-trick bid.
18/1, 14¾ lengths last of 6 to Salsada in handicap at Haydock (10.2f, heavy) 14 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Yard saddles a more appealing candidate in Sarvi.
C&D winner. Creditable fourth of 9 in handicap at Hamilton (11.1f, good to soft, 16/1) 16 days ago, not clear run. Now 1 lb below last winning mark and a bold show anticipated.
Wondrous Words (5/6), Salsada (10/3), Sootability (8/1), Sarvi (8/1), Sister Midnight (12/1), Ursulina (28/1)
SARVI caught the eye on her latest start and is an appealing alternative at the forecast prices to 3-y-os Wondrous Words and Salsada, greatly respected though they are. Incidentally Jamie Gormley partners Sarvi here for the first time since steering her to a 5-length success at Hamilton off 1 lb higher last August. Wondrous Words was impressive on handicap debut at Redcar and is feared most.
