Fairly useful on the Flat for J. J. Feane and placed for a second time over hurdles when 7 lengths second of 13 to Courtandbould in a novice at Stratford last time. Bit more needed for win purposes.
Landed a Taunton bumper on debut and ran well for a long way when ninth on Warwick hurdling bow in November. Failed to progress at Kempton next time but retains potential returning from 7 months off.
Scorpion gelding who made an encouraging debut when fourth in a Doncaster maiden hurdle (20.8f, heavy) in January, but was well held in similar event next time. Off 7 months.
€60,000 buy after winning a pair of French bumpers last autumn. Upped signficantly in trip for this switch to hurdling after 11 months off, and interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Littile impact in a trio of bumpers, though did shape as if better for the run after 8 months off at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago. Hurdle debut.
Shaped promisingly in a pair of Ffos Las bumpers last summer but disappointing in 3 starts over hurdles, so returns with enough to prove.
Modest maiden on the Flat (stays 16.5f on all-weather) who ran to a similar level sent hurdling when third in 7-runner maiden at Lingifeld (2m, heavy) in January. May do better.
Left her Ascot debut behind when making all in a Plumpton bumper in 2018/19. Failed to match that form in 3 runs last season but she's not without hope if taking to obstacles.
Dual bumper winner (including at listed level). Ran below that level in 2 runs over hurdles last season but wasn't disgraced at Newbury on first outing and retains potential on her bumper form.
Forecasts
Fifty Ball (11/8), Bashful Boy (10/3), Capac (9/2), Who What When (10/1), Givepeaceachance (14/1), Balladame (20/1), Eyeofthescorpion (22/1), Strike The Flint (25/1), Whataboutwalt (66/1)
CAPAC ran well for a long way in a very hot novice hurdle at Warwick in November and takes on much weaker opposition here, so he looks interesting on this return to action dropping back in trip. Who What When wasn't disgraced on her first hurdle start at Newbury and retains potential judged on bumper form, with Strike The Flint also worth a look on this switch to obstacles.
- CAPAC (IRE)
- WHO WHAT WHEN
- STRIKE THE FLINT
