Has looked limited on the Flat and jumped tentatively when a distant third at Bangor on hurdling debut in July. Hard to envisage him featuring.

Form: 3

Highlander Madrik^t1⁶⁴

Fair winner on the Flat in France and dam won over obstacles, so one to consider making British/hurdling debut for new stable.

Form:

Orchestral Rain³⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: S Bowen| T: Dr R D P Newland

4/5

Fair maiden on the Flat who showed promise when third in a juvenile hurdle at Roscommon a month ago for William McCreery. Can do better, so looks a big player.

28/1

Assertive filly. Half-sister to 2 winners on Flat, including useful 1m/9f winner Anya. Dam, 8.6f winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Rosecliff. Interesting newcomer.

Form:

12/1

Modest maiden on the Flat for Mick Channon who stepped up on hurdling debut when third at Sedgefield 10 days ago. Could take a hand if she improves again.

Form: 32

Forecasts

Orchestral Rain (4/5), Highlander Madrik (4/1), Topkapi Star (13/2), Big Jimbo (8/1), Talking About You (12/1), Nyah (28/1), Poker Master (66/1)

The race that ORCHESTRAL RAIN finished third in on hurdling debut had a much stronger look to it than this one and he's open to improvement having joined Dr Richard Newland since, so he gets the nod ahead of a pair of Nyah and Highlander Madrik, both interesting newcomers to this discipline.
