Made a fine start over fences last summer with wins at Hexham and Stratford and has returned in good order this term, so firmly expected to give another good account.
Scored around 20f at Worcester and Fontwell last autumn but below par all three runs since, well held in Kempton handicap latest. Hard to fancy on reappearance.
Progressive initially over fences but wasn't in much form earlier this year and will probably need this first run for 7 months.
In top form last spring but has shaped with problems since. Returns from 7 months off.
Three-time winning hurdler who overcame mistakes when making a winning chasing debut in a novice at Uttoxeter 44 days ago and looks capable of improving past his opening mark over fences.
Returned from 6 months off with a smooth success at Southwell in July and shaped as if still in form while let down by his jumping there next time. Could get back on track with a clearer round.
Useful winning chaser in 2018 but very lightly raced in recent times and was pulled up in a first-time tongue strap at Uttoxeter on return. Tried in blinkers now.
Career best when winning 7-runner handicap chase at Southwell and backed it up with a creditable fourth at Uttoxeter. Needs more from this mark, though.
Back with a bang when landing 21f Newton Abbot handicap chase and good second off 3 lb higher at Southwell last time. Form look solid and he should get the longer trip.
Off the mark for current stable in convincing fashion over C&D in July before an underwhelming effort over shorter here. Too soon to write off.
Forecasts
Young Wolf (11/4), Fidux (10/3), Shoal Bay (11/2), Irish Prophecy (11/2), Bbold (12/1), One Forty Seven (12/1), Monbeg Legend (14/1), Mellow Ben (18/1), Princeton Royale (20/1), Fixed Rate (28/1)
YOUNG WOLF made a winning start to chasing despite leaving the impression he still had something to learn, so there's room for improvement now he embarks on handicaps. He's preferred to the in-form Fidux, with Bbold considered a danger if he can get back to the form of his C&D success in July.
