Veteran who was in the form of his life last year, winning 3 times, including over this C&D. However, well below par in a handful of runs since racing's resumption and bit to prove now.
Scored over fences at Cartmel and Newton Abbot last summer. Rather disappointing since but, on the upside, he was successful off this mark on latest hurdles start at Plumpton in September 2018.
Winner at Sedgefield and Wetherby last autumn, and good second over C&D back from an 8-month absence in July. Clearly not 100% next time but one or two of these may be better treated in any case.
Completed a hat-trick at Ascot last November and far from disgraced on return when fifth over 20.4f here in July. Subsequent effort at Market Rasen was uninspiring, though, and now tried in blinkers.
Successful at Doncaster in March and creditable third off this revised mark back from a break at Market Rasen (23.1f) last month. Should make his presence felt.
Improved model this year, scoring over 20.4f here on return in July and at Stratford (2¾m) 18 days ago. This trip should be within range but 7 lb rise for latest success may leave him vulnerable.
Winner of both starts for new yard at Uttoxeter this year, producing a clear career-best upped to 23.3f on latter occasion. 9 lb rise for that is tolerable and may have further progress in him.

The hat-trick beckons for YES NO MAYBE SO, who shouldn't have too much trouble coping with this revised mark judged on the manner of his latest victory at Uttoxeter. He is unexposed as a stayer and may well go on to better things in due course. Poetic Rhythm and Ennistown have both been given a chance by the handicapper and are feared most in that order.
