Signed off 2019 with fine second behind subsequent Group 1 winner Lord North in the Cambridgeshire. Ran another cracker when second at listed level on return but bit to find with a few on these terms.
Winner at Meydan (10f) in January and operating at the top of his game of late, second in John Smith's Cup and filled same spot in Haydock Group 3 last time. Fancied to give another good account.
Frustrated last term but upwardly mobile as a 4-y-o, landing Hunt Cup at Ascot and going in again at Listed level at Pontefract (1m) last time, from Beringer. Another bold showing likely on the cards.
Group placed in France for Andre Fabre and fine start for new yard earlier this year, proving a class apart when taking big-field Meydan handicap (1m) in February. Worth his place at this higher level
Last year's Queen Anne winner who confirmed himself in good order when 2 lengths third in York Stakes over 10f in July. Landed this race in 2018 and he's a lead player once more.
Improving model this term, third in Hunt Cup prior to a comfortable success in a 1m listed event. Similar form when third in French Group 1 at Chantilly and a repeat entitles him to respect here.
Low-mileage 4-y-o who hasn't scored since his debut but host of smart efforts to call upon, runner-up in a Thirsk conditions' event 13 days ago. This sort of trip may prove his optimum.
Unbeaten as a 4-y-o, her 4 victories culminating in Group 3 victory at Saint Cloud (1m, heavy) in October. Lost unbeaten record on return at Ascot (1m) and she won't want the ground to dry out.
Forecasts
Lord Glitters (10/3), Pogo (9/2), Zabeel Prince (5/1), Dark Vision (11/2), Certain Lad (10/1), Epic Hero (10/1), Miss O Connor (10/1), Beringer (12/1), Prince Eiji (16/1)
A winner of the Queen Anne at the Royal Meeting 12 months ago, LORD GLITTERS highlighted he retains all his ability when third in the York Stakes on his latest start in July and he's fancied to make a bold bid to land this race for the second time in 3 years. Dark Vision has stepped up again as a 4-y-o, as has Pogo and both should go well, whilst Prince Eiji may also have a part to play.
- LORD GLITTERS (FR)
- DARK VISION (IRE)
- PRINCE EIJI
