Off time: 12:31 | Winning time: 4m 58.93s

Bit On The Side²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: G Sheehan| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 121

6/5

Fair form in bumpers and left previous hurdling efforts behind to land a plunge in a novice hurdle at Market Rasen recently, making all comfortably. She's a definite player.

Form: 2845P-1

Miss Farage¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| C| D

10/11

Bumper winner who made the ideal start to hurdling when easing clear to score with loads in hand in a novice at Southwell recently. Well capable of following up.

Form: 3-11

Ballymilan¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: R T Dunne| T: N P Mulholland

28/1

Improved on previous efforts over hurdles when fourth of 11 to Miss Farage in a novice at Southwell recently but hard to see how she'll reverse the form.

Form: 5/7PP-94

Belatrix Lestrange³⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: R Johnson| T: H D Daly

28/1

Runner-up both starts in bumpers last summer but yet to match that level over hurdles. Probably more of a handicap type.

Form: 229-7

Crossfirehurricane²¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Tom Buckley⁽⁷⁾| T: N J Hawke

80/1

Bred to do well over obstacles but not enough encouragement in bumpers to make her of any interest having her first go over hurdles.

Form: 38-

Rann Of Kutch⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: R D Day| T: M E Sowersby

250/1

No sign of ability in a bumper/novice hurdle for Margaret Mullins. Hard to fancy having been picked up cheaply by new connections.

Form: 6-6

Secret Court^t²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: J M Quinlan| T: R Dickin

100/1

Has looked pretty limited to date.

Form: 61094-7

Sleptwithmebootson²¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Lee Edwards| T: J G O'Neill

200/1

Little to shout about on 3 of her 4 starts in bumpers and pulled up in a novice at Ludlow on hurdling bow 7 months ago.

Form: 0/469P-

Stamina Chope²³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: B S Hughes| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 117

15/2

Modest maiden on Flat but showed fair form over hurdles when runner-up in 2 juveniles at Clairefontaine in 2019/20. A bit disappointing in Britain so far, though.

Form: 2525-25

Forecasts

Miss Farage (10/11), Bit On The Side (6/5), Stamina Chope (15/2), Ballymilan (28/1), Belatrix Lestrange (28/1), Crossfirehurricane (80/1), Secret Court (100/1), Sleptwithmebootson (200/1), Rann Of Kutch (250/1)

This is probably between MISS FARAGE and Bit On The Side, who were both impressive winners last time, but the first-named has more potential and is taken to prevail. Stamina Chope could make a race of it with them if she can recapture the sort of form she was showing in France.
