Showed a good turn of foot to make a winning debut over C&D 37 days ago. Ought to be competitive under his penalty.
Modest form in 3 AW bumpers at Lingfield last winter. Will need to improve for the switch to turf.
5/2, had the reopposing Rickety Gate behind him in third when second on C&D debut (good to firm) 27 days ago. Could have more to come for his leading stable.
3/1, showed promise amidst inexperience when third (Dens Delight second) of 6 on C&D debut 4 weeks ago. May do better.
£55,000 buy after striking at the third time of asking in Irish points. 11/2, promising third in Huntingdon bumper in March and open to progress on return for a yard in fine form.
Dick Turpin gelding. Dam (h93), maiden hurdler (stayed 2½m), half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 3m) Wayward Frolic. Probably best watched on debut.
Third on his sole start in points in February and much respected on this Rules debut for a yard which enjoys plenty of bumper success.
125/1 when last of 7 behind Socialist Agenda on C&D debut 37 days ago.
Pulled up sole start in points (Feb 22). Would be a surprise winner.
Failed to complete both starts in Irish points. Hooded for Rules debut. Likely outsider.
Showed ability when in a couple of 12.5f Wetherby bumpers during the winter. Off 6 months. may have needed the run when only seventh at Uttoxeter 6 weeks ago.
4/1, well held in Huntingdon junior bumper last autumn but his prominent position in the betting suggests a bigger performance was anticipated.
Forecasts
The Bees Knees (9/4), Socialist Agenda (3/1), Dens Delight (9/2), San Agustin (6/1), Rickety Gate (7/1), Wait For The Lord (16/1), Ace Time (18/1), Storm Force One (22/1), Highwayman Vic (50/1), Ask Freddie (100/1), Storm Arcadio (125/1), Sir Taaj (150/1)
THE BEES KNEES shaped well in a Huntingdon bumper back in March and can strike on his return for in-form Fergal O'Brien. Dens Delight is an obvious threat after his C&D second 4 weeks ago, while Socialist Agenda has a penalty to contend with but did quicken up nicely when making a winning debut here last month. San Agustin is another interesting contender.
- THE BEES KNEES (IRE)
- DENS DELIGHT (FR)
